Whoa, ten months ago we became a family of four.  Kahle had to give up his only-child lifestyle and share us with baby Bodee.  Our little man is ten months old today.  He’s about 24 lbs. and currently has infection-free ears!!!  I know this sounds weird, but I was disappointed when his ear check-up turned out positive.  Bodee has had non-stop ear infections for many months now….and they were just fine when Dr. Korver looked at them yesterday.  I guess I was hoping to get tubes so we didn’t have to deal with another infection.  I just know he’ll get another ear infection soon.  Anyway….good news….our kitchen is finished!!  That means we are done doing the dishes in the bathtub.  We’ll get some pictures posted once our house is back to normal—however, I’m not sure what normal is.  Have a great weekend!

It’s that time already. Micah and I are both ready for some sort of routine. I’m back in my classroom again….meeting some new 7th graders and their parents. Micah’s school starts the 19th…and mine on the 25th. Kahle and Bodee are going to love their new daycare lady…Lindsey. We have a feeling they will be spoiled. I’m not coaching VB this year. School and Micah’s FB practices/games are crazy enough. We are also currently redoing our entire kitchen. Kahle thinks our new kitchen is in his toyroom. We needed room for the pantry and cupboard stuff. Well, I better keep organizing my room. We were blessed with a great summer. Now, if only we could get a vacation from it. I’m tired.

Micah and Kahle left early this morning for the IA State Fair. Bodee and I actually had some alone bonding time. Kahle usually thinks he needs to be the center of attention, so Bodee hasn’t had to fight his way past his big brother. We are planning to head to Rockwell on Wednesday evening…then going to the fair with Wendy, Wyatt, Bonita, and Lynda. Micah called today to say that Kahle was taking a nap on a bag of sawdust in the hog barn…lovely. Bodee and I are excited to stay with Julie on Thursday night! We get to cheer her on while she plays some softball….then maybe do some wedding stuff. We wish she lived closer!

Well, we are finally home for a week. My cousin, Kristen, and Travis got married on Saturday. Micah had to sing, so we were busy with rehearsal and a wedding this past weekend. We attempted a family picture with our own camera. We’re thinking we need to upgrade.

Noah, my nephew, turned 1 on the 27th of July…so we celebrated at the park in George on Sunday. Rachel decorated a monkey cake—-Miss Artsy Fartsy. BHRV FB starts this week…so that means my hubby will be a stranger again. We have had a fun and busy summer. Kahle is loving the freedom to pee outside. I try to shield him when cars go by. Maybe we’ll be living in the country by the time Bodee potty trains. Bodee loves to eat rocks, grass, toys, me……basically anything he shouldn’t. His defense against his big brother is to bite! He has seven teeth….so it hurts! He eats steak like a champ. I better get back to my mommy duties. A bike ride with the boys is looking like a good idea.
