Easter-Part 2

Here is a wad of pictures from Easter. Don’t judge…it was only about four weeks ago! :) Scroll over the pictures for captions. Easter II will be coming next…stay tuned.
Two weeks ago (already), the Bormann brothers (and adorable families) came over for a much needed visit. It is always so good to see them!
We occasionally stop to see them (mostly Matt’s farm) on the way to/from Rockwell. It’ll be quite entertaining when all four (and maybe one more for Joe and Val) boys start showing each other the ropes. Bormann + Weber can’t equal good. :) Anyway…it was fun catching up!
My caring and thoughtful hubby used his mad building skills to put together a very large and in charge fort for the boys! He used some wood from Reid’s shed that he was going to take down. I think Fort Weber will get used a lot this summer! However, the robin who decided her nest would make a good fort-warming gift might have to relocate. She often sends the boys running and screaming bloody murder when she suddenly flies away while they are playing in the sand.

The boys LOVE having egg hunts! I knew Easter morning would be busy, so we did an egg hunt the night before. They found their basket Sunday morning, though. Micah sang in the really early sunrise service….then in the Faith choir later at church. We then headed to George to my G’ma Krull’s for dinner. She had an egg hunt for the kids, too! Uncle Reid seems to always get the duty of hiding the eggs…it’s cute! Silly G’ma had an Easter present for the grandkids, so they got spoiled a little more. Then….we were off to another get together at my Aunt Deb’s house. We didn’t let the 300 mph winds stop us from hunting those eggs! Deb had a kid egg hunt…and an adult one. Micah was the lucky winner of the golden egg (oooh, ahhh…)! We had an all-around great time with family….celebrating what Christ did for us! I will get Easter pictures uploaded soon!
Micah’s FFA Chapter had their banquet the end of March. After a scrumptious meal, we watched the award ceremony. THEN it was time for the good stuff—the raffle and auction. Kahle’s name was the first one picked. He was so innocent as he walked up to the Bobcat skidloader/hauler combo. He wanted it SO badly the second he saw it. Well, it wasn’t part of the raffle–it was an auction item. He actually took it better than I thought when he had to put it back and pick from the table of stuff. He chose a ShopVac instead. Bodee won a sweet camo hat with flaps (but some man took it when it was lying on the table afterwards…ugh). Micah decided to go after the spendy John Deere tractor during the auction. Yep, he “won.” Kahle was down in the dumps when he found out we didn’t get the Bobcat toy. HOWEVER….a church friend/the school board president bought that Bobcat for Kahle!!! He said Kahle reminded him of his own son at that age!
We were all so flattered and thankful. Kahle wrote a cute thank you letter to him. Here is a picture of Bodee teaching Silly G’ma how to play Angry Birds. It was pretty entertaining!
He always uses his middle finger to point and play on the iPad. It’s a hard habit to break!

Our niece, Faith, turned 2 the end of March! Rach and kiddos headed to George to celebrate. We enjoyed the awesome weather on Saturday and got to spend time with family on Sunday. The kids love Silly Grandma’s flower bed thing. Luckily, she doesn’t have flowers in there. She might go with the fake ones–so the grandkids can pull them out and replant them when they’re done digging!
We took a trip out to the farm after the party. I don’t want this blog entry to sound like I’m bragging, BUT…I will say I have some skidloader skills yet! Reid and I took out some posts. I didn’t even run anything/anybody over! He always has faith in me…just like driving his stick shift! Ugh….that’s never pretty when I try. I’ll leave you with a picture of Kahle and Reid’s (and the boys’) favorite cat, Kitty.
The boys got to watch The Lorax 3D style with Silly Grandma at the theater! They loved it and still quote the movie. Kahle talks about how all the trees were cut down, etc. Bodee says, “She’s a lady?” and laughs SO hard!
Thanks again, Silly G’ma, for taking the boys!
We headed over to George after church on Sunday, March 11. Our first stop was the cemetery to visit Dad’s grave. I’ll be honest…I really don’t like going there. I had this idea of getting a picture of the boys with Dad’s gravestone. Bodee’s facial expressions in all of the pics are sooo odd. Here is the best one by far…
I know Dad had a great celebration up in Heaven! :)

To our faithful checker….here is a shout-out! Sorry for not posting, AGAIN, today. I’m just not the blogger type. The boys had a fun time on the Krullcrest Farm today. Thanks for the wood. Micah started on the fort tonight. I’m anxious to see what my “rig-it-up” hubby comes up with this time. :) Well, until next time….goodnight and love you!
